Kleinfelder is seeking an engineering intern to join the team. Are you ready to be challenged, make a difference, and gain great professional experience? Kleinfelder’s engineering team is looking for you! T he Gas Transmission Systems area of Kleinfelder provides high-quality solutions to natural gas utilities and pipeline operators. You can be a part of an exciting and diverse group of professionals that are committed to being the best at what they do.

Position Requirements:

• Collect data and gather information or documents


• Perform basic design tasks under the direction of the team


• Prepare basic drawings using information given by engineers, designers or architects.


• Assist with field investigations to determine existing conditions


• Assist in drafting design solutions for routine issues.


• Tabulate data using computer spreadsheets and CAD


• Assist in coordination of all projects and work with designers or engineers.


• Assist on other tasks such as: preparation of material specification/selection, technical reports, plans and procedures, drawings, permit applications, project documentation, and computer aided design (CAD) work


• Perform routine technical work not requiring previous experience

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering program and pursuing Bachelor’s degree.


• Basic computer ability in using technical software.


• Basic understanding of engineering and scientific concepts.


• Attention to detail.


• Good written and oral expression in English

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software


• Technical Communication


• Working knowledge of CAD & GIS Software

Benefits: Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $ 20-$25/hr .
