The Human Resources Partner (HRP) position is responsible for facilitating alignment between departmental/school Talent and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) objectives and priorities with the University’s objectives. The HRP provides consultation and direct assistance by accessing expertise and programs within HR functional areas to deliver value-added services to exempt faculty and staff. The HRP maintains an effective level of knowledge about the schools and departments priorities, mid-range plans, culture, and talent. The highest priority areas of focus include talent management: recruitment, salary assessment, organization design, and employee relations.

The HRP will work closely with the Associate Vice President of Human Resources, Executive Director of Compensation/Benefits & HR Operations, HR Functional areas, and departments and schools across WNE.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required. Master’s Degree in HR related field is a plus.
  • At least five years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge and experience in human resource disciplines, including recruitment and retention, compensation practices, organizational assessment, performance management, and federal and state employment laws. DEI experience is also a plus.
  • SHRM-CP or HRI-PHR is desirable.
