Get to Know This Role

The Packaging Operator Technician 1 operates, cleans, inspects, lubricates, changes over and performs minor maintenance tasks on packaging equipment. Reporting to the Packaging Supervisor, this role is responsible for working effectively to meet production demands while maintaining a safe work environment and producing a quality product.

What You Will Do



  • Operates dry side equipment on a high-speed bottling, canning, racking, and repack lines; follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and completes documentation via check sheets

  • Performs routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, minor adjustments, light-duty maintenance of equipment; assists maintenance personnel with other repairs and preventative maintenance (PMs) when needed

  • Cleans production areas, equipment, work areas, or other parts of the facility to maintain plant food sanitation standards

  • Operates industrial equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts in order to unload, load, and/or transport packaging materials, raw materials and finished product

  • Conducts process quality control checks

  • Communicates packaging related information to other teams effectively

  • Assists in the keg prep area by sorting, completing valve rebuilding, and loading of kegs

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

  • This role is responsible for production and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) System as defined in the SQF Code. There will be Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety and Food Security Training as required by Local, State, Federal and SNBC policies. All duties will be completed in a manner that is consistent with all aspects of Company Safety Rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF). Employees shall report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

  • Previous experience in a consumer-packaged goods manufacturing environment preferred




  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to take ownership and initiative to perform tasks beyond assignment-specific duties

  • Understanding of how to use basic hand tools (Allen wrenches, screw drivers, sockets/wrenches, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail and eye for package quality

  • Ability to learn on-the-job




  • Forklift Certification upon hire preferred

  • Forklift Certification within 180 Days required

  • Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment, post offer background check.




  • Candidate must be able to work 2nd shift (1 PM - 9:30 PM/M - F)
