Immediately hiring for a Director of Loan Operations.

The Director of Loan Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management within the Loan Operations/Servicing team. Direct management and processing include but are not limited to; customer complaints and research, payment processing and other financial activities, demands & payoffs, adjustable rate management, investor reporting, syndication, SBA processing. Responsibilities also include loan monitoring relative to escrow, tax & insurance, covenant, collateral, etc. Oversight to all applicable regulatory compliance relative to loan operations, GL reconciliation and quality control of the department is part of this role. The Director of Loan Operations will have 3+ direct reports and will be responsible for strategic direction and various special projects related to the loan operations unit. Qualified candidates should have broad applicable lending, banking, operations & technology experience.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the Loan Operations Unit, consisting of approximately 20+ people. Oversee the tasks and assignments to ensure work is completely timely and accurately.
• Manage the performance of the team members through coaching and mentoring as necessary.
• Management of tasks such as:
o Funding and boarding new loans on the core loan system.
o Process loan extensions and modifications.
o Perform new UCC filings and continuations.
o Approve loan advances, payments and payoffs.
o Review and/or approve demands and paid off loan processing (collateral release including preparation of reconveyances), ensuring that required timeframes are adhered to.
o Review and/or approve construction loan draw requests and inspection reports, order Title Endorsements
o Review and/or approve charge-offs, REO's, adjustments.
o Perform post boarding quality control loan audits to ensure data integrity and appropriate tickler(s) are setup for any follow-up items/tracking
• Troubleshoot and resolve system/processing issues with the assistance of the IT Department as necessary.
• Analyze, prepare, and train for periodic updates to system software, and verify that enhancements are working correctly.
• Responsible for working directly with the Bank's auditors and examiners. Prepare responses and action plans to management on any findings/recommendations.
• Conduct research necessary to address loan problems (data entry errors, payment exceptions/misapplications, etc.), resolve, and communicate outcome to appropriate parties.
• Monthly report preparation such as: Commitment report balancing, Treasury report, FHLB collateral pledge report, 1502 Colson report and remittance.
• Create and maintain department desktop procedures.
• Assist manager with special projects including system conversion (planning, testing, validating, vendor communications, cross-training).
• Responsible for adhering to and complying with all Bank policies and Federal and State banking laws and regulations.
• Prepare performance evaluations for staff, including any disciplinary actions (counseling, probation, etc.) as may be required.
• Ensure that unit is operating in compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, provides oversight of processes designed to comply with the requirements.
• Assess business-unit level key metrics to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Ensure that risk management considerations are embedded in daily business processes and business strategy.
• Produces or supervises production of management reporting and presents escalation items to Management committees.
Requirements
• Minimum of 10+ years of management experience in Loan Servicing, preferably with knowledge of SBA, ABL, Construction, Commercial and Business Loans. Familiarity with all phases of Loan Servicing/Operations
• Expert knowledge of process and control design, including process mapping and process reengineering
• Expert knowledge of risk assessment and issue management
• Expert knowledge of change management and continuous process improvement practices
• Executive-level leadership, communication, and strategy-development ability, inclusive of conflict resolution and project management abilities
• Proficiency with MS Suite of products (particularly Visio, Excel, Word, and Power Point) is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills; and collaborative working style.
• Ability to work independently within the scope of responsibilities for the position and completes assignments in a timely manner.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $150k - $160k per year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
