Job Description:

MilliporeSigma in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician. In this role you will perform operational monitoring, maintenance and repair of utility systems and equipment associated with a cGMP contract manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Department Manager you will assist in meeting the corporate production and growth goals, working with the supervisor and manager. In meeting these goals, the Maintenance Technician will ensure that maintenance is performed on schedule in a prompt and efficient manner.



Responsibilities:



Aid maintenance staff in the performance of high-level Preventive Maintenance (PM) of utility and HVAC systemsEnsure Preventive Maintenance documentation is maintained in accordance with regulatory requirementsPerform and ensure all Preventive Maintenance activities are completed on schedule to maintain regulatory compliance and as outlined in SOP'sCollaborate with cross functional teams to determine maintenance scheduling and downtimeProvide support and assistance with facility related upkeep and general maintenanceProvide support during equipment installations and qualificationsProvide technical support to all departments in a quality and service-oriented approachMentor and train staff on preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activitiesSupport improvements to SOPs and Maintenance Checklist in accordance with regulatory requirementsAid Engineering and Maintenance departments during investigations, deviations, and audit readinessAssist with troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions as needed



Who You Are:




Minimum Qualifications:



High School diploma or GED4+ years of Technical, Vocational training, i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems2+ years of experience in utility system operations and maintenance in an FDA or GMP regulated environment
