Job Summary
The purpose of the position is to assist the accounting PM in delivery of the strategic accounting services for programming of the SSBCI and SBA core program across the PASBDC network for Very Small Businesses (VSB's) and Socially Economic Disadvantaged Individuals (SEDI's) entrepreneurs who are seeking SSBCI capital for funding growth. This position assists the ASPM with assessing and resolving the accounting needs of SSBCI loan applicants. The position assists with managing the client consulting project scope of work and supervises the contract employees assigned to help resolve a client accounting or IRS issue prior to the client getting to the loan closing. The position does also provide direct SSBCI consulting, coaching, mentoring to the SSBCI professional team and to SSBCI certified clients to ensure a successful client loan closing outcome. This position also performs core SBA related scope of services as needed.
The position also identifies training accounting, tax compliance, Quickbooks programming needs and schedules webinars for SSBCI clients to participate including the peer-to-peer learning cohorts that will meet on a regular basis to share best practices while acting as an accountable peer group. As a Quickbooks, certified ProAdvisor this position plays a critical strategic role with delivering the goals of the U.S. Treasury SSBCI TA and SBA program at KU for the Commonwealth.
Finally, this position also assists the ASD and Fiscal Coordinator of the SBDC with managing sub-awards for SSBCI, APEX and SBA and assists the financial team with ensuring that CFR compliance to grant guidelines. This position assist with the financial operations of the network at least 40% of the time and will be called upon to assist with invoicing, compliance, reporting requirements for U.S. Treasury, SBA. DCED and DoD, as needed.

The anticipated starting salary for this position is $59,757.00 - $70,000.00 annually, commensurate with skills and experience.
