College Recruiter, Lead Engagement - FIU Online (532159)


Job Summary:

Supports the FIU Online lead engagement call center by engaging with the prospective learner lead pipeline and assisting prospective FIU digital learners from the initial point of contact with the university through the lead engagement stage to the point of handoff to the Prospective Learner Coaching team. Performance in this role requires navigating inbound and outbound calls, support for the departmental inbox, chat, engagement platforms, and time trad appointments in alignment with the FIU Online role as the university's Online Program Experience (OPX) driver.


  • Supports the recruiting and lead engagement process by communicating with prospective digital learners through a variety of communication channels, cultivating and enhancing enrollment interest from the point of initial inquiry, submission of the application, through to enrollment depending on team assignment.

  • Responds to prospective learner inquiries regarding program information, enrollment, registration, escalating queries or referring learners to Prospective Learner Coaches as needed.

  • Conducts recruitment outreach, documents contacts, sets and completes appointments with prospective learners to support business unit goals for lead-to-enrollment conversion, learner experience, and program enrollment goals.

  • Participates in recruiting events and promotional activities such as call-a-thons, information sessions, open houses, and so on.

  • Collaborates with the Manager, Lead Engagement to suggest methods of improving area operations, efficiency, and service to internal clients and prospective learners.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant experience or a Master's Degree.


Departmental Requirements:

Ability to work late evenings based on weekly rotation schedule (Monday-Friday 1pm-9pm)


Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience working with students in an educational setting

  • Experience with coaching and/or advising students

  • Experience in a sales or call center environment

  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system


Salary: $40,000-$45,000


Work Schedule:

Begin time: 9:00 AM

End time: 5:30 PM
