  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Business or other related discipline.
  • 7 years minimum experience in manufacturing/plant operational management, including P&L management responsibility

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in a forging manufacturing environment
  • Experience scoping, leading, and implementing process improvements through: Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma
Basic Qualifications:

Job Dimensions:
Reporting to the Vice President, Global Manufacturing, the Plant Manager will partner with the business leadership team to translate business strategy into actions that drive results withing a global business division. This position plans, directs and controls activities of the operating plant to accomplish budgeted financial objectives and customer requirements. This position is also responsible for driving manufacturing excellence in support of short-term and long-range business objectives and strategies.

Major Activities & Key Challenges:


  • Execute plant initiatives as they relate to Safety, Quality, People, Cost and Growth.
  • Manage the operations with a result driven framework focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement to meet and exceed expectations and business goals
  • Develops manufacturing operating plans in accordance with company policies, goals and objectives.
  • Leads a multi-disciplined plant team in meeting monthly forecasts and all appropriate business metrics.
  • Implement quarter-over-quarter improvement strategies to increase efficiency, spend performance, customer delivery and safety record.
  • Sets a high standard for ethics and compliance, ensuring business processes adhere to our business conduct policies and procedures.
  • In collaboration with Human Resources, leads an effective team including hiring, motivating, evaluating, developing and counseling with career development.
  • Direct preparation of operational budgets and coordinates capital plans, appropriation requests, and project follow up.
  • Ensures that effective business unit systems, procedures and financial controls are established and maintained for the business unit's operations.
