Job Description
The Coordinator for the Hillary Rodham Clinton Center (HRCC) will provide coordination for all programmatic aspects of the new center at Wellesley College. Reporting to the Director for Civic Engagement / Program Director for the Hillary Rodham Clinton Center, this position plays a key role in planning experiential programming for the sophomore Clinton Fellows experience, offering administrative support for the Faculty Research Initiative and event support for the Annual Summit.
Primary Position Responsibility:
Sophomore Clinton Fellows Experience
Design operational structures to support around 300 sophomores in meaningful engagement across the Civic Action Labs (summer, fall, winter, and spring labs)
Coordinate all logistical details for programming including but not limited to catering, transportation, supply orders, etc.
Ensure programming is scalable while maintaining the highest standards of quality engagement between students and community partners
Work with vendors to accomplish a variety of event-related goals
Support assessment and ongoing program evaluation to ensure quality outcomes and high standards are met
Research Initiative
Support short-term projects for approximately 6 faculty participants
Facilitate housing and transportation for outside speakers
Support logistics for gatherings, reserve space, and obtain materials needed for projects
Liaise with other Wagner Centers for Wellesley in the World staff as needed
Annual Clinton Summit
Serve as a member of the event team helping to coordinate all logistical details for the summit and for visiting participants
Support student integration within the summit experience and prepare the fellows to make the most of the opportunity
Connect with cross-campus collaborators to ensure involvement and smooth functioning of all day-off activities
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years relevant experience in education, community engagement, service-learning, or the nonprofit sector
Experience and Abilities Required:
Ability to work independently and on a team within a culturally diverse environment
Experience in organizing and executing programs, events, and resources geared towards a student audience, including training and facilitation
Broad knowledge of and commitment to civic engagement and student development
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to assess and shift priorities and adapt to a rapidly changing environment, including multitasking efficiently and effectively with strong systems of organization
Ability to simultaneously maintain a broad perspective on the goals of the Hillary Rodham Clinton Center and on successful completion of specific details and tasks
Willingness to work some evening and weekend hours
