Job Description:

Infosys is seeking an ETl Developer- In this role, you will be a technology professional adding value to a gamut of Software Development lifecycle stages. You will create detailed design artifacts like program specifications, test plans; and independently develop and review code and contribute to the go-live plan. This position is based out of Hartford,CT. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford,CT or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Responsibilities
A: Development Activities:
• Perform high and low-level design and conduct design reviews to identify the list of objects to create as part of ETL process that fits to the architecture.
• Understand source data by collecting descriptive statistics like min, max, count and sum on each table in the data warehouse and by tagging data with keys or categories.
• Develop Teradata SQL scripts involving complex business transformations.
• Develop the design for Workflows in One Automation Scheduler Tool to load Database objects on for time-based scheduling as per business requirement and hierarchical execution.
• Collect stats and works on dynamic partition elimination for performance improvement to process large volume of data.
• Create document and perform root cause analysis of data load issues. Also creates Defect resolution document for any defects.
• Prepare release documents and co-ordinate with release management team for deployment and provide necessary support during production implementation.
• Provide accurate level of effort estimates for data integration development to management.
• Interact with Onsite correspondent to ensure the end-to-end designs to meet business and data requirements.
• Develop Unix scripts and create reusable objects to pull data from various source systems.
• Identification of non-functional requirements viz., performance fine tuning across Teradata Sql scripts.

B: Release Support
• Coordinate production migrations review and approval by On-Site.
• Support the Operations team for the successful migration.
• Validating post deployment changes and share the results.

C: Issue Analysis and Bug Fixing
• Perform Root Cause Analysis of load issues and document in knowledge management repository.
• Propose technical solutions to resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Support Production runs and provide required workarounds in case of failures on rotational basis

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of experience in Information Technology
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Teradata, Oracle, Unix Skills.
• At least 2 years of experience in software development life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• At least 3 years of experience in Design preparation.
• Experience to Cable domain with DWBI skill set..
• Exposure to cloud technologies is an added advantage
• Ability to work in team environment and client interfacing skills.
• Experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
• Analytical skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
