They are seeking a highly proficient Backend Engineer to join the dynamic team. As a Backend Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems that drive their applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to comprehend requirements, architect solutions, and implement features that enhance the performance and reliability of our products.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and services.
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Architect solutions that are simple, secure, efficient, and maintainable.
Write clean, well-designed, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.
Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to address them.
Stay abreast with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in backend development.
Document design decisions, technical specifications, and implementation details.
Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and manage backend services in production environments.
Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role, with a robust portfolio demonstrating backend development skills.
Proficiency in PHP backend programming language and it's framework (Laravel preferred).
Solid understanding of database technologies, including relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices and event driven architecture, and message queue systems.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is ideal).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
