Your Job Purpose:

As an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth introduction of PLC cabinets, instrumentation, control valves, pressure control systems, SCADA, and HMI systems ensuring successful commissioning. You will also be reviewing installation QC records for compliance. This position requires a meticulous individual with a background ideally in the semiconductor industry, potentially in oil and gas, and a minimum of 5 years of I&C experience. While a degree is not required, proficiency in coordinating and managing I&C and QC documentation is essential.

Your Job Description:
  • Coordination and Management of Documentation:
  • Oversee the organization management and delivery of I&C and QC related documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Identify and meticulously document any defects or non-conformances, ensuring thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review of Quality and Commissioning Records:
  • Conduct detailed reviews of quality and commissioning records related to PLC installations, RIO panels, networks, field loop checks, FMCS QAQC records, and instrument calibration certificates.

  • Walkdown and Inspection:
  • Perform walkdowns and inspections of I&C installations as per the commissioning execution plan, ensuring adherence to project requirements and specifications.

  • Support of Functional and Performance Tests:
  • Participate in and support equipment and systems functional and performance tests, ensuring full integration of vendor-supplied equipment with facility management and control systems.

  • Tracking and Issue Resolution:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all inspections and tests conducted, including issues identified and resolved.
  • Provide timely feedback to project stakeholders and construction teams on quality-related issues, collaborating with them to develop and implement corrective actions.

  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Effectively communicate with team members and client stakeholders on project progress, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), corrective actions, and planned activities.
  • Actively participate in equipment and system turnover document preparation for system owners.

  • Development of Inspection Templates:
  • Develop and implement inspection templates to formalize, streamline, and document the results of inspections, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

  • Management of NCRs:
  • Take responsibility for managing and tracking the resolution of NCRs uploaded into the client's specified management system, ensuring timely resolution and closure.

  • Review of Quality Documentation:
  • Ensure that quality documentation submitted by trades is reviewed according to the commissioning schedule, maintaining standards of excellence and accuracy.

  • Overall Service Delivery:
  • Take ownership of the overall service delivery, including safety, quality, and value to the client, ensuring that all aspects of the project meet or exceed expectations.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Instrumentation and Control (I&C) engineering, preferably in semiconductor or oil and gas industries.
  • Proficiency in coordinating and managing I&C and QC related documentation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with team members and client stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to documentation and issue resolution.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
