Job Description:

The Manager of Supply Chain Analytics provides management and guidance to a staff of data analysts, scientists, and engineers to implement the company’s supply chain data analysis strategy. This would include assessing, enhancing, and building analytical capabilities, models, and tools that can comprehend sophisticated inter-dependent trade-offs within both the Network Optimization Program, which impacts general strategic decision making that involves cross-functional trade-offs in cost and/or service. This role will help to drive cross functional understanding and collaboration between their team and Operations, Inventory Management, Inbound Transportation, Outbound Transportation, and Network Optimization Program leaders, to develop optimal total cost and service solutions for the company. This role work with internal clients to answer business questions and manage complex data analysis projects to answer these questions. 


Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).


1.       Drives the cleanup and organization of raw data, generating complex descriptive statistics, analyzing trends, creating visualizations and dashboards, and presenting the results of a technical analysis to business clients or internal teams.  


2.       Manages relationships with external vendors engaged in data analysis. The position recruits and develops staff within the area of responsibility in accordance with policy.


3.       Uses analytical, statistical, and reporting software such as SQL, Business Objects, Tableau, SAS, SPSS, and others to perform analysis and interpret data.


4.       Develops models and processes to determine and manage all stocking strategy (location) decisions in the new hub & spoke model. This will require the development of sophisticated models that can evaluate trade-offs and implications to operations cost, inbound transportation cost, outbound transportation cost, inventory levels, and service.


5.       Provides guidance and supervision to team members as they carry out work activities.


a.       Defines the processes for on-going monitoring and management to be executed by their direct reports.


b.      Includes: Inbound Flow Optimization, strategic Hub & Spoke decision making, Central Ship Optimization, JDA Replenishment, and other initiatives, as needed.


c.       This team is also responsible for tracking costs and benefits, in partnership with Finance, for the monthly publication of the Network Optimization Program P&L to senior leadership.  


Education & Experience


·        Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.


·        5-7 years of experience, preferably in Distribution, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, Technology or Project Mgmt.


·        Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).


·        Knowledge of data analytics, statistics and reporting is required. (Machine learning & developing algorithms is a plus)
