As an IT Refresh Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing the timely refresh and upgrade of technology infrastructure within our client's organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that all hardware, software, and systems are updated to meet the evolving needs of the business while adhering to budgetary constraints and industry best practices.
This role is onsite in Cincinnati Ohio. The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Strategy: • Develop comprehensive IT refresh plans aligned with organizational goals and technology roadmaps. • Evaluate current technology assets and identify areas requiring refreshment or upgrade. • Research and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and security.
Project Management: • Lead and coordinate IT refresh projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, procurement, finance, and business units to define project requirements and priorities. • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful implementation.
Vendor Management: • Evaluate and select vendors for hardware and software procurement, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms. • Maintain relationships with vendors and manage vendor performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of products and services. • Coordinate with vendors for equipment disposal or recycling in compliance with environmental regulations.
Asset Lifecycle Management: • Establish and maintain an inventory of IT assets, tracking their lifecycle from procurement to disposal. • Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures to optimize utilization and minimize costs. • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with asset management policies and regulatory requirements.
User Communication and Training: • Communicate IT refresh plans, schedules, and impacts to stakeholders across the organization. • Provide training and support to end-users on new technologies and systems to facilitate smooth transitions. • Solicit feedback from users to identify opportunities for improvement and address concerns proactively.
Qualifications: • Proven experience in IT project management, preferably in IT end user refresh or upgrade projects. • Strong understanding of hardware, software, and networking technologies, with the ability to assess and recommend appropriate solutions. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion. • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus. • Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management best practices. • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong Microsoft Suite experience with a heavy focus on Excel
Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on the computer. • Frequent walking between facilities. • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 15 lbs with some frequency.
