Maintain the overall information technology infrastructure of the business and provide Level 3 (subject/product expert) support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage server infrastructure and related tools
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues/outages, and maintain systems according to requirements
Upkeep of server infrastructure and upgrade systems with new releases and models
Ensure security through file access controls and backups
Develop expertise to train staff on new server and desktop technologies
This role may also include working on projects from other departments needing the assistance of various IT resources
Job Qualifications:
A degree in computer science, equivalent certification (technical, A+, Network+, MCSE, etc.), or in pursuit of the aforementioned.
3 years of experience performing operating system maintenance and application software installations on MS Windows workstations
3 years of experience in maintaining basic network hardware, such as hubs/switches, cabling, WiFi, and configuring networks of end-user devices
Advanced experience with business productivity software MS Office
Must have good verbal and written communication skills for assisting employees with IT support.
Physically able to run data cables and telecommunication lines throughout office infrastructure, as well as move electronic equipment. Assistance is available for heavier equipment.
Programming skills in C++, Visual and shell-scripting in both Windows and UNIX environments
Knowledge of working in *NIX environment at the administration level
Database design and administration and knowledge of relational databases and ODBC
