Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure on the Azure cloud platform, utilizing Fabric technology. Your primary focus will be collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to support our data-driven decision-making processes.

This position is onsite in Portlanld, OR.

Data Engineer Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Fabric technology on the Azure cloud platform.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Build and optimize data models to support efficient data retrieval and analysis.

Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.

Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues with data pipelines, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

Stay updated on the latest data engineering and cloud technology advancements and recommend best practices for continuous improvement.

Work closely with data analysts to provide them with clean, reliable, and accessible data for analysis and reporting.

Document processes, procedures, and best practices for data engineering tasks.

Data Engineer Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing data pipelines.

Technical experience with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.

Proficiency in Azure cloud services, particularly with Fabric technology (Migrating to Azure Fabric).

OLTP experience with SSRS/OLAP experience with SSIS.

Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar frameworks.

Solid understanding of SQL database design and data warehousing concepts.

Experience with data modeling, schema design, and optimization techniques.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, React or Scala.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation and continuous integration/deployment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Strong numerical and Analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

Azure certifications related to data engineering or cloud architecture.

PowerBI knowledge.

Salary: $90k - $110K (DOE)
