Robert Half is looking for an IT Support Specialist in Berkeley, California. The IT Specialist will assist in meeting the organizations' IT needs and will be responsible for the day to day operational activities of help desk Support, with general understanding of network administration, server, and systems. Essential Duties:

  • lab system configuration project, updating the configuration of ~60 lab systems. Coordinate with business owners to schedule maintenance on each device. Provide daily updates to IT Leadership on project status.
  • Process backlog of endpoint repairs.
  • Deploy IT monitoring solution to monitor all servers, network equipment, UPSs, and other IT infrastructure needs
  • Setup backup solutions for both Office365 and employee endpoints.
  • Provide tier 1 / 2 IT support

Top Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or a similar IT support position.
  • Experience with Intune, Entra, Office365, Active Directory, Okta, Zendesk, Zoom.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11, MacOS in and endpoint deployment within enterprise environment.
  • Experience with TCP/IP, Basic networking, CMD Prompt / PowerShell.
  • Ability to coordinate with external hardware vendors for repairs, replacements, and other tasks.
  • Strong customer support skillset for both onsite and remote employees.
  • Experience managing content collaboration systems, such as SharePoint, Dropbox, Egnyte.
  • Experience deploying monitoring solution.
  • Experience implementing endpoint and/or Office365 backups.
  • Experience with Meraki, VMWare
  • Knowledge of Okta for identity and access management.
  • Experience managing server room deployments and upkeep. Ability to effectively plan hardware order to streamline cable management within our server rooms
