Job Location: open to locations across the U.S. for remote working.

Position Summary

This position is a Director role that is responsible for leading technology projects, supporting space planning platforms, training, and providing data/technical services. The role involves leading a team of three analysts and the development of the Category Solutions platform product, which includes the technology, tools, and processes that support Category Leadership and Space Execution teams across the organization.

Responsibilities


  • Leads analyst team (currently three analysts).

  • Leads Category Solutions platform product development and testing.
    • Product Owner (Agile – Project Management Lead)


  • Lead and expert in Blue Yonder Space Planning & Automation software.

  • Leads Category Solutions platform product tactics and execution.

  • Support the Category Solutions platform product strategy and implementation, onboarding, and training retailer teams on the solutions.

  • Supports other technology solutions.
    • Mission Control, Stellar Shelf, Power BI, etc.


  • Leads pilot projects implementation and execution.

  • Provide universal support across all category teams and tools.

  • Ensure cross functional collaboration and alignment with other departments including National and Regional Accounts, the SET team, IDS, Innovation, Insights, and W&S teams.


  • Co-lead annual Category Leadership & Space Execution training sessions.

  • Grow a best in class Category Solutions team through employee development, talent review, and succession planning.

  • Ensure members of the team have appropriate technical skills, training, data, tools, and process to deliver on goals.

Role Qualifications

  • 10 years of total relevant working experience.

  • 3+ years of sales, merchandising, or retail store management experience.

  • 5+ years of category management, consumer or shopper insights, or research experience which included the management of the entire category (not sub-categories or segments), across a range of large or strategically important customers such as national retail chains.

  • 3+ years of Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent is preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills to lead and mentor a team.

  • Proficient in the use of all category management software, concepts, analytical techniques; have a thorough understanding of syndicated data.

  • Ability to build strong relationships, initiate action and adjust to change are key attributes of this role.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to travel by plane approximately 20%.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment


  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.

  • Must have close vision, distant vision, ability to adjust focus, peripheral and color vision.

  • Must be able to work in an office environment primarily but periodically required to work in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and lighting.

  • Should be able to lift 40 lbs. on occasion.

The salary range for this role is:

$113,200.00 - $241,700.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
