Thornton Tomasetti seeks a talented Senior Engineer with 8-15 years of experience. Projects include new construction and retrofit in high rise, sports facilities, transportation, government and education buildings.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the direction, coordination, planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
• Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements.
• Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes.
• Manage other design team members and supervise the work of engineers and draft persons.
• Directs project staff in preparing contract documents, such as drawings and specifications.
Qualifications
• Master's preferred in structural or civil engineering; undergraduate degree in engineering is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines.
Compensation
The rate for this position generally is$120,000-$145,000annually.This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the California Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful California applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation.Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted byCaliforniaEqual Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
