The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Credit Manager. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of credit policies, evaluate creditworthiness, monitor credit limits, manage relationships with credit agencies, and ensure compliance with regulations.

How You'll Make a Difference
  • Develop and implement credit and collections policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, including credit limits, exposures, and collections.
  • Manage credit and collections team to ensure timely collections.
  • Coordinate with the Fleet operations team to develop processes for the addition of new customers and extending services to franchisees.
  • Manage relationships with customers, sales teams, credit agencies, and financial institutions.
  • Analyze credit data, payment trends, collection performance, and assess risk profiles.
  • Ensure compliance with credit regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare reports on credit and collection metrics and provide recommendations to senior management.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience in credit management or related analysis; experience managing teams and collections preferred
  • Proven experience in credit management or analysis
  • Knowledge of credit assessment techniques and financial analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to make sound credit decisions and manage a team
  • Proficiency in credit evaluation software and financial modeling
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and credit scoring models
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
