Job Description:

United Wholesale Mortgage is hiring a Senior Database Administrator for an on-site position in Pontiac, MI. Duties: Design, install, configure, develop, implement and maintain database platform/ environment for Loan Origination Process system. Design and implement database architecture to improve performance for optimizing operational efficiency and recommend process improvements for application performance. Migrate database platform from SQL Server 2012/2014/2017 to SQL Server 2019 (and beyond) with 500+ databases ranging in several terabytes (very large databases) in size across different data centers. Monitor and improve database environment/platform to ensure optimal performance using SQL extended events/SQL Profile and periodically install, configure and apply security hot fixes/Service packs for SQL Server 2019/2017/2014/2012 in production, staging, integration and development. Ensures data integrity and security by managing database access, creating and maintaining users, roles, and privileges. Implementing and occasionally updating security protocols as per standards. Identify and eliminate database platform bottlenecks during lifecycle and Create and implement database disaster recovery (DR) solution (including Clustering, Replication and SQL Server availability groups) and periodically test disaster recovery plan (DRP). Implement SQL Server AlwaysOn and Clusterless availability groups for SQL Server. Administer, Support and Maintain Cloud Databases, Cloud analytic platform like Azure Synapse and Cloud streaming services in Azure stream analytics. Design and implement database backup strategies across platform as per data and Application criticality/ Recovery Time Objective (RTO)/Recovery Point Objective (RPO). Utilize Redgate tools/PowerShell for deployment automation, data ingestion tools like Qlik Replicate, Cloud data ingestion tools like Azure Events hub. Analyze user needs and provide incident resolution and root cause analysis. Provide technical support for developers and end-users and create and deliver training materials and session. Req: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related and 60 months experience as a Database Administrator, IT Infrastructure Specialist or related.
