Role Description



The Senior Manager, Distribution & Indirect Sales, shapes the overall strategy to strengthen operational capabilities for indirect sales reporting and distribution rebate management.


  • Leads strategic project initiatives and drives creative solutions in a complex environment.





  • Anticipates change, plans for it and tackles potential problems in advance. Proactively identifies issues prior to escalation by cross functional teams.





  • Develops SOPs, analytics and KPIs to proactively monitor indirect sales submissions from reporters, ensure indirect sales system (ex: ISIS, Vistex) continuity and identify opportunities to build out internal capabilities and/or partner with external vendors.





  • Applies technical acumen to identify root cause of system issues in complex situations and offer solutions to permanently fix problems.





  • Oversees daily operations of a team responsible for the management and administration of distributor chargeback/rebate payments. This includes:

    • Providing recommendations to Channel, Sales, and Leadership teams on contract verbiage and how best to support new strategies.

    • Partnership with Finance on the approval of rebate payments and any required accrual support.

    • Business ownership for the Channel EDGE Pricing & Rebate Distribution site.







  • Manages daily operations of a team responsible for accurate and timely processing of EDI reported indirect sales, manually reported indirect sales, and customer hierarchy maintenance. This includes coordination and oversight of year-end sales processing deadlines with key stakeholders.





  • Serves as Zoetis' AHI EDI Project representative. Coordinates all EDI, AHN and sales processing activities with third party vendor (DXC/Reliance Data). Partners with the Field Force, Retail and Channel teams to onboard new EDI reporters.





  • Partners with Retail and Channel Teams to support new business needs and initiatives within an expanding and complex Animal Health market.





  • Participates in regular SOX audits for indirect sales and rebates controls, leading walkthroughs and providing supporting documentation.





  • Leads by example and fosters an environment that promotes colleague development, creative thinking, empowerment, and two-way communication.





  • Builds team knowledge on indirect sales processes, distributor rebate programs, documentation requirements and related business systems.




Qualifications:



  • BS, BA degree is required.

  • Minimum 5+ years of distribution and rebate experience or related function in professional operational environment.

  • Prior hands-on knowledge and experience with Vistex, Model N, SAP, ISIS or similar system.

  • Working knowledge of key Zoetis programs (LE, MZR) is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in pharma/healthcare industry with expertise in supporting wholesaler service fees and chargebacks is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment; effective in managing and prioritizing multiple assignments.

  • Ability to comprehend and navigate complex scenarios from problem to resolution.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills enabling tailored and effective messaging across various audiences and management levels.

  • Strong customer service commitment and orientation are critical to this role.

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful/fair decisions based on relevant information.

  • Ability to attend AHI project, key distributor, and internal meetings (up to 10% travel).
