We are seeking a full-time Senior 3D Artist in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, concepting, designing and producing compelling 3D graphics, to be used in-store, online and on social media channels.
Essential Functions
Creates photo-realistic renderings of consumer products to reflect the premium quality of products Garmin offers in a competitive retail environment
Partners closely with Art Directors/Designers to concept ideas around product launches for displays
Leads rendering reviews with Creative, Marketing and Engineering staff to plan, manage and complete compelling work
Accepts/acts on constructive criticism from coworkers to refine renderings to produce better solutions
Partners with project managers/other internal stakeholders to hit critical deadlines and initiatives
Knowledge/experience in large-format print production
Continues to improve rendering process utilizing the latest software tools/technology
Acts as mentor to graphic design teams and 3D Artists
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in 3D Animation and/or Illustration or related field AND a minimum of 5 years professional 3D/motion graphic design experience
Demonstrated proficiency with animation software such as Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator or other equivalent
Must demonstrate strong design and concepting skills
Must possess a portfolio/reel demonstrating exceptional understanding and use of 3D space, detailed modeling, lighting, layout, design, color, texture
Must possess experience leading/directing 3D design graphics in collaboration with other designers and production professionals
Must possess experience presenting creative to clients in a way they can easily understand
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, have a strong work ethic, and have the ability to work well with others
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work proactively/independently with minimal supervision and possess superior organizational/analytical skills with keen attention to detail/quality
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience with Cinema 4D or equivalent
Previous experience with After Effects
Video production and photography experience
