The Portfolio Specialist develops and implements global procurement process standards and accountability for core procurement metrics related to our savings pipeline and inflation. This role will engage with procurement leadership as well as group and category teams across the function to establish standard ways of working, and lead reporting cadences for our pipeline of savings, inflation, and other core procurement measures.
Scale of Responsibilities
Establishes and defines enterprise-wide Procurement standards related to our project pipeline and financial targets (including Group and Category accountability); to include implementation and oversight of standard tools and processes
Leads key procurement forums (QBR, MBR, AOP) and provides visibility and insights into progress vs. targets
Builds strong procurement collaborator relationships and applies knowledge of existing systems to develop and implement standard reporting requirements, drive process improvements, and develop and deploy related policies and associated governance mechanisms
Researches and reviews industry standards in order to inform internal best practice recommendations and provide guidance to leadership on the function's progress
Technical Responsibilities
Owns and orchestrates pipeline reporting processes and methodologies, including clear accountability for delivery of metrics within group, division, and categories
Collaborates with core team to solicit inputs, then pairs with existing tool and process knowledge to lead standardization activities; tracks and monitors compliance and journey toward future vision
Acts as project leader for any process improvements and issue resolution
Responsible for system administration for global savings and inflation management system, including training and documentation, dashboard strategy and oversight, error resolution, and development of improvement roadmap based on user feedback.
Leadership Responsibilities
Leads process councils and Per Angusta User Group to drive standardization and a robust multiyear pipeline of projects
Works with corporate IT, PE Digital & Data, Procurement COE and other supporting functions to identify and implement automated solutions and other technology enablers
Builds positive relationships with finance and Group PMOs to ensure application of standard methodologies and reporting alignment
How will you get here?
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in business, finance, engineering or science
Minimum 5 years relevant experience, with strong financial competence
High level of English language proficiency (verbal and written)
Strong proficiency in MS-Office tools (specifically, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and reporting; proficiency with Procurement systems preferred
Outstanding financial and problem-solving skills
Ability to efficiently prioritize forums and coordinate communication with team members
Excellent interpersonal skills for structuring ideas in a clear and concise manner
Proven track record with making recommendations on and delivering on assigned projects
Ability to influence without direct management
Experience in matrixed project management
Robust project management skills and capabilities (Gantt charts, dashboards, key deliverables, business case development)
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $75,800.00-$113,675.00.
