The County Recorder interprets, administers, manages, analyzes and evaluates the interrelated statutory functions associated with the Torrens Register Land System and the Abstract Division. This position is responsible for maintaining archival public records for all real estate in Clearwater County.
The duties and responsibilities of the County Recorder position are carried out with a large degree of independence in accordance with professional practices, federal and state law and within established strategic direction. Administer the evaluation, recording, scanning and archival storage of all legal source documents affecting real estate in the County. Interpret State law and changes in statutes and regulations and develop policies and procedures for compliance. Direct the examination and issuance of Certificates of Title according to land registration statutes.
Additional duties include research and evaluation of equipment and programs, technologies and processes to maintain and improve the integrity of the public records management systems. Issuance of MN Drivers Licenses, oversee and train support staff on issuance of MN Drivers Licenses. Set goals and objectives for staff to work toward and monitor performance. Conduct ongoing feedback, coaching, mentoring and timely formal reviews of performance for staff.
This is a fulltime position with salary range of $60,070.00 - $78,000.00 with full benefits.
