Best Buy Co. has openings in Richfield, Minnesota for the position of Software Engineer II. This position provides a telecommuting benefit, allowing the employee to live anywhere in the contiguous United States. Develop and maintain medium to large applications and services, in accordance with company methodologies, technical standards, and time and budget estimates. Support in the process of developing, and documenting tech designs, code reviews, and design reviews based on business requirements. Understand the architecture and design patterns of the systems and complete the work with minimal oversight. Write code for medium complex software systems. Participate in design workshops, prepare complex test scripts, and troubleshoot complex software defects independently when required. Work with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. There are multiple openings for this role. Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technological specialty, plus at least five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software/web development; application delivery; design or architecture for web or service-oriented environments. At least two (2) years of this experience must include: (1) implementing and deploying modern web development solutions utilizing Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, SAP ABAP, and/or HR ABAP; (2) experience with Workday HCM; (3) testing WebServices utilizing SoapUI, REST Assured, Postman, and/or Apache JMeter; and (4) developing interfaces in SAP. The pay ranges from $135,200/year to $135,200/year.
