Job Description:

Summary
The Director of Student Wellness and Advocacy will oversee all Mental Health/Wellness/Advocacy
programs and services at Prescott College. Reporting to the Dean of Student Affairs, the Director
will serve as the organizational leader for the Wellness and Advocacy Office to ensure that the
mission and vision are consistently implemented in all treatment and programs.

Director of Student Wellness and Advocacy

Manage the day-to-day operations of the Wellness area, including 1 direct report and several
clinical interns
Oversee and manage the Disability Resources Coordinator/Learning Support Specialist
Manage the CARE/BIT team meetings
Execute therapeutic and/or crisis interventions working with the Residence Life Director and
student residents
Serve as clinical supervisor for practicum and internship students
Refer students to support services, supplemental treatment, and counseling as required.
Serve as a primary leader in educating and training the PC community about health promotion and
well-being, including serving as the primary contact for orienting new students to the offerings of
Mental Health and Wellness services.
Develop, lead, coordinate, facilitate and assess educational workshops and presentations for
students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
Coordinate college-wide programs campaigns and initiatives in partnership with colleagues and
community partners such as wellness fairs and the National Collegiate Health Assessment.
Develop and coordinate workshops on a variety of topics including mental health, self- care and
developing coping, and resilience skills for resident students
Research, expand and implement educational programs and workshops on a variety of health and
wellness topics to support diverse student groups.
Oversee contract for Uwill services
Maintain record keeping, documents, reports and routine correspondences in a timely manner
Assist in the development, implementation of periodic student wellness surveys that:

  • Provide baseline and follow-up wellness data.
    Identify program needs and prioritiesCollect information on the effectiveness of programs and services.
    Track trends in student wellness status and behavior.
  • Build relationships with the campus community, both on-campus and online; as well the greater
    Prescott community to enhance services and make appropriate referrals
  • Maintain and develop relationships with faculty and staff of the College
  • Represent the College at internal and external functions as needed


Education and Training:
Qualified candidates will hold an advanced degree in a mental health discipline (psychology, social work, or counseling), plus five (5) years of professional clinical experience, to include two (2) years of clinical supervisory experience. Licensed in Arizona or eligibility for Arizona clinical license within six months of hire.
Demonstrated training and expertise in providing trauma informed care and programming
Licensure/Certification: AZ
Valid Driver License
Trauma Certification
Telehealth Certification
