Job Description:

The Front Desk Administrator is a crucial team member at Integrated Physical Therapy, responsible for ensuring efficient daily operations and excellent customer service. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients, managing administrative tasks and supporting the clinical team.Duties:Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphereSchedule and manage appointments for multiple therapistsVerify insurance coverage and benefitsProcess co-pays and handle billing inquiriesMaintain accurate patient records and update information as neededAnswer phone calls and respond to emails promptlyCoordinate with therapists to optimize patient flowPerform general office duties (filing, faxing, scanning, data entry)Assist with inventory management of office suppliesEnsure compliance with HIPAA regulationsRequirements:1-3 years of experience in a medical office or similar customer service roleProficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systemsKnowledge of medical terminologyFamiliarity with health insurance processes and terminologyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentDesired Skills:Experience with physical therapy or rehabilitation clinic operationsIn-depth understanding of insurance verification processesKnowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codingBilingual abilities (English/Spanish preferred)Experience with practice management softwareStrong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skillsAbility to maintain composure under pressureExcellent organizational and time management skillsInsurance Knowledge: The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of health insurance processes, including:Verifying coverage and benefits for various insurance plansFamiliarity with common physical therapy insurance terms and policiesUnderstanding of co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket maximumsAbility to explain insurance benefits to patients clearlyKnowledge of pre-authorization and referral requirements for physical therapy servicesFamiliarity with Medicare guidelines related to therapy servicesThis role requires a detail-oriented individual who can balance administrative tasks with exceptional customer service, contributing to a positive patient experience and smooth clinic operations.
