A co-op at Greif will enable you to: 

• Apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios, gaining industry experience

• Gain clarity on your academic and career interests, as well as goals 

You will have the opportunity to: 

Be paired with the facility manger, which will provide guidance & mentorship throughout the semester.  During the semester, students’ duties will include:

• 
  Production: an in-depth overview of spiral tube & core production; working directly with production crews & equipment


• 
  Quality Control: understanding the fundamentals of testing equipment & the quality variables and attributes of finished products


• 
  Maintenance: facility maintenance requirements; preventative maintenance & daily upkeep of equipment


• 
  Administrative: purchasing, HR, shipping/receiving, production scheduling, manager & supervisor requirements & performance management technique


• Familiarize yourself with departmental functions 

• Contribute meaningfully to performance goals and assigned projects 

• Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

• 
  

  Abilities/Skills: Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required; students must display a high level of professionalism & leadership tact.

  
  

  Employer Expectations: Demonstrates acceptance of responsibility; shows pride in work performed; demonstrates flexibility in acceptance of assignments and schedules; maintains professional behavior and appearance; exhibits dependability.

  
  



• Career Opportunities:  Students that display a high level of engagement/comprehension may be offered a salaried Management trainee position post-graduation.  Positions could include, but not limited to, facility & production level management.   




• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Packaging Science

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
