Payroll Manager




Boston, MA - Back Bay ONSITE for Training, then 4 days week onsite




$85k-100k/yearly dependent on experience




$200/month Commuter Rail OR Parking Stipend



Our Family- Owned and Operated business services client headquartered in Boston's Back Bay is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead Payroll/HRIS operations for growing nationwide team. This role will report to Finance leadership.



Requirements :



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Communications, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred

  • 4+ years of payroll, human resources management experience required

  • Experience managing team of direct reports.

  • Experience managing payroll for large workforce across multiple locations and multiple states

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-volume environment.

  • Experience processing weekly payroll- Salary, Hourly, 1099, Shift/Schedule Differentials, Varying Price/Project Costs

  • MS Office, Advanced Excel required, ADP WFN, WFM, UKG, Vantage.

  • Knowledge of multi-state wage and hour laws.

  • Knowledge of federal and state labor compliance laws.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Manage payroll team

  • Processing payroll on a weekly basis.

  • Audit and balance payroll input to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Audit new hires, employee changes, and payouts for terminations.

  • Data entry of direct deposit information, adjustments, special pay, and other deductions as required. Assisting in reporting stop payments/reissues to analyst and OPS.

  • Setting up and distributing pay cards.

  • Preparing and providing labor reports to operations.

  • Reporting weekly roster for manager clean-up.

  • Sending weekly audit trails for OT active no pay, etc.

  • Reviewing PTO used time for final pay.

  • Maintaining and distributing payroll time sheets and managing contact list access.

  • Providing support for payroll and/or time and attendance issues.
