Job Description:



The University of Pittsburgh's Ophthalmology Department is hiring a visiting scholar for the appointment stream for ophthalmic research purposes. The scholar will be performing several tasks, including:

  • be in charge of visual electrophysiological recordings from rodents
  • specifically performing ERGs and VEPs
  • perform histological work, including preparation of slides and staining, such as H&E and IHC
  • Participate in animal training experiments and surgeries, specifically in CNS electrode array implantations.

A medical degree is required, and 3+ years in ophthalmology research is preferred.
