Job Summary: 

The BOM Analyst is responsible for assisting in the accuracy of the launch and production bills of materials to ensure parts are on time to the customer; as well as supporting engineering and inventory control as needed.  

Essential Functions: 

• Verification of Launch BOM Accuracy.


• Maintain Manufacturing Bills of Materials and add/adjust required parameters.


• Establish and adhere to an annual BOM review process per the established procedures.


• BOM validation as part transfers from production to service.


• Lead BOM review meetings with cross functional team. Participate in Engineering Change Meetings.


• Participate in Launch Reviews.


• Train and monitor the functional areas within the plant to ensure that all inventory transactions are performed corrected and on a timely basis to improve overall accuracy of the perpetual inventory systems; this includes but is not limited to production and scrap reporting, receipt entry, timely and accurate back-flushing of raw materials.


• Responsible for coordinating all cycle count and leading physical inventory.


• Investigate root cause and implement corrective actions of inventory variances.


• Monitor and investigate QAD negative inventory report.


• Lead effort to organize visual inventory systems on the shop floor and maintain BOMs/part set up in crib management systems.


• Assist in coordination of engineering/process changes, minimization of obsolete materials and risk inventory and participate in launch events.


• System or process improvements/suggestions should be brought to the attention of upper management.


• Ensure compliance to all BOS/SOX and internal plant procedures.


• Responsible for the supervision of Cycle Counters, Pharmacy Attendants and Data Coordinator, Supply Cycle Counters and Pharmacy Attendants with count sheets; manage safety, job performance and organization.

Required Qualification:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent


• 2-5 Minimum Years of Experience managing inventory and BOM accuracies.


• 2- Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
