Job Description:

CHILD ACCOUNTING & PIMS COORDINATOR

The Wattsburg Area School District is looking for a qualified candidate for a Child Accounting & PIMS Coordinator position.

Shift: Full Time Salary Range: $50,499 start

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated individual to be responsible for the management, process development, and data administration for the district’s student information system, student enrollment process, Child Accounting and Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS) and other mandated reporting. This position requires the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities based on current district data needs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Serve as the primary district registrar for the centralized student enrollment process, including registration, data entry and data management.

· Act as liaison and primary point of contact for the student information system and interfaced modules or software.

· Develop and maintain all mandated state reports as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) including, but not limited to PIMS and Child Accounting.

· Attend workshops, trainings and meetings regarding Child Accounting and state reporting and present updates and changes to district staff.

· Maintain district calendars ensuring the minimum instructional time requirements are met.

· Maintain Act 80 Exception system to gain PDE approval for early and full-day dismissals.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree or commensurate experience.

· Experience with student information systems, database structures, transferring, summarizing and reporting demographic data preferred.

· Successful experience in public education preferred.

· Knowledge and/or experience of Pennsylvania School Code.

· Strong background in problem-solving and planning.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and district information.

· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with administrators, educators, students and parents.

· Such alternatives to the above as the Superintendent or designee may find acceptable.

 

Required Clearances:

· Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances, Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training; and

· Act 168 Sexual Abuse/Misconduct Disclosure; and

· Health physical and tuberculin skin test required.

Special Requirements :

· Physical Demands: Physical requirements are the same as those encountered in a typical professional office environment. The employee continuously interacts with the public and other staff and occasionally meets multiple demands from several people.

· Work Environment: School and office with some travel between schools located on the same campus. Occasional travel to relevant professional conferences and meetings outside the district.
