Job Description:

Wabash College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Computer Science or related fields in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, to begin July 1, 2025. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise that complements our current strengths in Computer Science and whose research and teaching interests can directly support our program in CS, including all subdisciplines of computer science, data science, applied statistics, computational math, or related disciplines. We anticipate that at least half of the teaching duties will be in Computer Science. We seek candidates with a commitment to inclusive teaching at all levels, an appreciation for the broad intellectual community of an excellent liberal arts college, and a dedication to working with a diverse student body. The teaching load is three courses per semester (3+3), chosen according to candidate interests and expertise, and will likely include a mix of introductory and advanced courses, as well as the occasional all-college course (Freshman Tutorial and Freshman Colloquium).

The successful candidate will be appointed as Byron K. Trippet Assistant Professor. Appointment at a higher rank may be possible for exceptionally well-qualified candidates. Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field by the start of the appointment.
