Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY



Vertiv is hiring a Data Engineer in Westerville, Ohio to deliver Predictive Analytic Health Score data for Vertiv UPS and Thermal systems. This includes analysis of equipment service history, equipment operation and performance, site and environmental conditions, coupled with equipment data acquisition, data mining, and analysis. Provide engineering and remediation solutions driven by the analytical algorithm and subject matter expertise reviews, to proactively turn an emergency repair to a scheduled service maintenance. Drive continuous product and process improvement.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver equipment health scorecards with the criticality tiers.

  • Establish recommended scripts and remediation driven by data analytics and algorithms.

  • Review site reports and data trends. Escalate to product subject matter experts for validation and resolutions.

  • Review health score data and determine if immediate corrective action is required. Engage the service delivery team to execute.

  • Establish cadence to identify and report improvements and lessons learned.

  • Work closely with Vertiv Engineering and Quality to define and validate simulation modeling to support predictive and health score analysis.

  • Facilitate customer meetings to review findings and containment actions.

  • Build a knowledgebase of symptoms, causes, and solutions to enhance analytical and algorithm health score machine.

  • Provide program updates and growth opportunities to management.

  • Attend Vertiv product training to gain familiarity with both new and legacy Power and Thermal equipment as needed.

  • Comply with all necessary policies/guidelines regarding the general business activity.

  • Occasional travel is required.




QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mathematics

  • Master's degree in EE and/or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of five years of data center critical power experience.

  • Two years of experience in investigative analysis or data analysis is preferred.

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills are a must.

  • Knowledgeable in quality system processes, such as FMEA, Six Sigma.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficient PC skills including all Microsoft Office products and web-based technologies.

  • Possesses a positive attitude.

  • Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.

  • Must be able to effectively manage several tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and customer service skills

  • Reactive, fast paced environment.

  • Professional office environment
