Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $25.78.

A Batch Operator produces spray polyurethane insulation and then packages the material in 55-gallon steel drums. Production involves adding a series of ingredients to a blending vessel based on specific formulations. Batch operators are also involved in housekeeping of the various area in the plant. In addition to production and other tasks batch operators are required to participate in continual safety, health, and environmental training. JM Belgrade has the highest standards for safety and health of its employees as well as continually striving to improve its environmental performance. Batch operators will also receive training on the use of mobile equipment, primarily forklifts.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Interpersonal skills -- interact with co-workers; responds positively to work assignments and instruction.
  • Problem solving skills – Be able to use basic math (i.e. addition, subtraction, etc…) using a calculator. Work with team members to help determine possible issues as well as solutions.
  • Timeliness -- Responds to task/work instructions in a timely manner; remains at work for duration of shift and overtime as assigned by supervisor. Position is key to operations and candidate must be flexible to handle unexpected overtime requirements outlined by their supervisor. Typical facility hours are Monday through Friday, however on occasions this role must be able to work some weekends. Shifts vary and depends on necessary resources to support demand.
  • Attention to detail -- Our facilities culture emphasizes general housekeeping, safety, and professionalism. Chemical blending always requires concentration and attention to detail. This will be a key factor in consideration for promotability.
  • Physical capability - This position involves daily physical labor and is primarily in an indoor environment with some outdoor tasks. Outdoor tasks will involve working with bulk tanker railcars.
  • Computer skills -- Position requires on a basic use of computers which will involve logging in using a password and navigating through training modules as directed by supervisor.
