This position oversees the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of multiple projects which consists of a set of closely related subprograms or associated activities. Oversees fiscal, operational and administrative management of select programs; assists faculty, staff and students with travel, serves as principal point of representation and liaison with external constituencies on operational matters, and provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate to the area of expertise. The project may be scientific, research, education, and/or service oriented, and is partially funded through grant provisions.
Daily Operations
Manages multiple programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, maintains fiscal records for programs
Greets guests to the office and answers phone for the department
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
Must be Excel and MS Word proficient with financial and analytical skills
Must have a knowledge of grants preparation and management
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Program planning and implementation skills
Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures
Comprehensive working knowledge of the College's financial system (BANNER)
Ability to take initiative and work independently is required
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to exercise good judgment in a timely fulfillment of responsibilities
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two (2) years directly related management expertise in fiscal services and administration experience required.
