Staff Accountant at Roth Staffing Companies in Los Angeles, California

Job Description:

A high-growth financial services firm in Downtown Los Angeles is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team! This position will be involved with/not limted to the following duties;



Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.


• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.


• Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.


• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and collections.


• Conduct variance analysis and assist in identifying areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.


• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.


• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.


• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks and projects.


• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.


• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
