Join a dynamic team as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, where you will ensure the quality and reliability of electro-mechanical products and assemblies. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and IPC 610 requirements, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet high-quality standards
Responsibilities:
Investigate and determine the root cause of faulty work or materials and advise production supervisors and suppliers on corrective measures. Identify trends and recommend improvements.
Improve Quality System performance through measurement, analysis, and reporting.
Compile and present management-level reports on quality issues and performance.
Conduct inspections and internal audits per ISO 9001:2015 and IPC 610 standards.
Ensure process compliance with company procedures and recommend corrections as needed.
Use the HSL ERP system (CORE) to manage daily activities.
Assist in New Product Introduction (NPI) and perform first article inspection and documentation.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to address quality concerns and develop training materials to promote quality awareness.
Track quality performance and improvement plans for suppliers and third-party subcontractors.
Analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, processes, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.
Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and affordability, working closely with production employees.
Monitor and support the achievement of company objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing.
Familiarity with quality tools and techniques (e.g., FMEA, DOE, Root Cause Analysis, process mapping).
Ability to read and interpret quality documents, assembly instructions, drawings, and industry standards.
Strong report-writing and communication skills, with the ability to present to customers, auditors, and executive management.
Proficiency with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to lift 5-10 lbs regularly, and 25-30 lbs occasionally.
This position involves 40% office work and 60% production floor activities.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified ISO Auditor.
Six Sigma certification (belt holder or equivalent).
IPC-J-STD and IPC-610 certifications.
Experience with PCBA electronics assembly or contract manufacturing of electronic products.
