Job Summary:


Are you ready to be the heartbeat of the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life (CRSL) and Knowles Memorial Chapel? As the Program Coordinator, you will be the go-to person for all things administrative and event-related, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine. Your mission? To foster interfaith dialogue, spiritual growth, and social justice on campus.


What You'll Do:

  • Be the master of correspondence and calendar wizardry.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of exciting programs and events.
  • Oversee the chapel's facilities and keep everything in tip-top shape.
  • Act as the friendly bridge between CRSL and other college departments.

Primary
Job Functions:

  • Administrative Support
    • Chapel Overseer: Manage the upkeep of the Chapel, coordinate maintenance, and keep everything running smoothly.
    • Office Coordinator: Establish a welcoming environment, handle calls, inquiries, and tours with a service excellence approach.
    • Communication Specialist: Manage communication tools, update the website, and draft correspondence.
    • Calendar Keeper: Maintain the Dean's calendar and schedule events.
    • Budget Assistant: Monitor and process budgets, provide monthly analysis, and handle transactions.
    • Liaison: Act as the bridge between the Dean and other departments.
    • Meeting Attendee: Represent the Dean in meetings when needed.



  • Event & Program Coordination
    • Event Assistant: Help plan and execute events like lectures, workshops, and services.
    • Logistics Coordinator: Manage scheduling, venue booking, catering, and tech support.
    • Promoter: Market events through various channels.
    • Student Supporter: Assist student groups with their activities.
    • Feedback Collector: Gather and analyze feedback to improve events.


Minimum
Qualifications & Education:


  • At least 2 years of related job experience (e.g. office administrator, customer service, etc.).
  • High school diploma.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at a College.
  • Experience in event planning and program coordination.
  • Experience managing a budget.


Knowledge, Skills &
Abilities:


  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse population and promote equity, inclusion, and participation.
  • Strong knowledge of business English, spelling, and grammar. Excellent oral and written communication skills, intercultural skills, and emotional intelligence.
  • Proficiency with PCs and software like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Basic math skills for ordering supplies, processing invoices, and performing accounting functions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to solve problems and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Tact and good judgment in resolving work issues and interacting with the Rollins community, students, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential material.


Additional Position Details:

  • This position is scheduled to work 28 hours per week, for a total of 1,462 hours annually.
  • Work hours are Monday - Friday between the core hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm. Schedule will be discussed during the interview process. Flexible schedules or overtime may be required to meet business needs.
  • This is a full-time, 12-month annual appointment anticipated to run through May 2027. The continuation of this appointment is contingent upon funding and operational needs of the College.


Work Environment:

  • Campus based position with the ability for flexible hybrid scheduling.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and visual strain working on a computer.
