We are seeking a full-time Seasonal Operations Associate (Spring 2025 High-School Work-Study: Manufacturing) in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be assigned to work in either the Distribution Center, loading, unloading and moving material; or the Manufacturing Center, assembling electronic components while following procedures.
Essential Functions:
Manufacturing - Electronics Assembler:
Assemble electronic components, subassemblies and systems
Read shop orders, follow production work instruction and sample assemblies and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture or other holding device using hand or power tools.
Mount assembled components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets on chassis, panel or printed circuit board
Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware such as caps, clamps and knobs to assemblies using hand tools and power tools
Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, cleaning, coating, epoxy bonding and curing.
Tend and perform operator level preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
Notify management of any conditions felt as being undesirable or nonconforming to product specification and any procedures that can not be performed as documented

Basic Qualifications
Must be a minimum of 16 years old
Must possess the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift and walking long distances throughout the facility.
Must possess a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination, to allow manipulation of buttons, switches, hand tools and knobs on delicate equipment, products and parts, in the performance of essential functions
This position will require the ability to sit, stand, look down, bend, twist and have dexterity with hands
Strong experience and aptitude with computers
Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
