We are looking for a skilled and motivated backend developer to join our team, whose mission is to build broad-coverage models of human perception and perceptually-driven outcomes. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience collaborating with scientists and building scalable and robust services. More broadly, the chosen candidate will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to design and build the infrastructure components that let us deploy models to researchers working on a variety of applied problems, and generally scale the impact of our infrastructure and tooling by getting it more production-ready for more users in more settings.
Software Engineer - ML Infrastructure Responsibilities:
Work with researchers and engineers to develop cutting edge ML and data infrastructure that meets one of our key research projects' needs.
Build efficient and reusable back-end abstractions and systems.
Collaborate with team members in planning, design, and code reviews.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years experience with technologies such as: Docker, Kubernetes, Thrift, Compute Clusters, PyTorch, Python
1+ years experience working directly with researchers or others without expertise in backend development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing ML compute infrastructure
Experience developing data ingestion and storage pipelines

$70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
