We are seeking a full-time Positioning Software Engineer Intern in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for learning and training to develop GNSS & INS based positioning solutions.
Essential Functions
Contribute to advanced technical research and development in positioning technologies
Design, implement, test and document complex software applications using C/C++ for use in embedded systems
Participate in peer reviews of software designs, algorithm designs and software implementations
Collaborate with colleagues on software/algorithm design approaches/implementations
Provide reliable solutions to a variety of positioning problems using sound problem solving techniques
Basic Qualifications
Preferred to be working towards a Master's Degree in Geomatics, Aerospace or Software Engineering or another relevant engineering/technical field OR working towards a Bachelor's Degree in any of the fields noted above AND strong aptitude for math/problem solving
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Must possess knowledge in positioning algorithms for consumer applications
Must possess experience in software development and engineering with C/C++ for embedded, real-time environments
Must possess the ability to use scripting languages to automate analysis (ex. Python, MATLAB, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
Experience in Java
Knowledge of inertial navigation techniques (e.g. vehicle and pedestrian dead reckoning, GNSS aided INS)
Knowledge of carrier phase measurement processing methods
Knowledge of GNSS measurement and how they are impacted by environment and receiver design
