Job Description:

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $116,000 - $168,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Core Responsibilities

Working closely with the SEV leadership, the successful candidate will be able


  • Assist primarily on due diligence of new investment prospects, including financial modeling, customer diligence and other research, and preparation of investment memos

  • Join pitch meetings with members of the investment team to evaluate potential investments in innovative startups and new technologies

  • Use financial models and market research to assess the viability and growth potential of companies

  • Work with portfolio companies to help drive their success and identify new investment opportunities

  • Support the investment decisions of the firm through financial modeling, market size analysis and business development

  • Build relationships with entrepreneurs and other industry professionals

  • Understand broader industry trends, major players and disruptive technologies impacting Energy Management and Industrial Automation.

  • Collaborate across the global SEV team to create new market insights/deep dives and feedback into SEV's thesis-driven approach to investing.


  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking/consulting/corporate development or VCPE experience, with meaningful live transaction experience

  • Passionate about startups and new technologies with a strong interest in learning Climate tech and Industrial tech

  • Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work well in a team and think creatively and strategically

  • Undergraduate degree from a top college in a relevant field such as engineering or business

  • Demonstrated excellence in academics and/or extra-curricular activities

  • This is a Hybrid position in office 3 days a week
