The Department of Medicine, Division of Blood & Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (BMT-CT) seeks two physician scientists to be appointed as Assistant/Associate/Professor in the University Medical Line (UML) or University Tenure Line (UTL).
The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The candidates should have an outstanding record of accomplishment in clinical care, teaching, and a focused area of research activity in allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. The candidates will be considered across broad areas of expertise, including clinical trials and/or translational research; an interest in graft engineering and novel preclinical and/or clinical trial approaches to transplantation is of special consideration.
The successful applicant should have an MD, or MD/PhD with a subspecialty in Hematology or Oncology. The candidate is expected to hold or be able to obtain a CA medical license. Board certification or board eligibility in hematology or oncology is also required.
The successful candidate will be expected to attend in the outpatient Infusion Treatment Area in the Cancer Center, and the BMT-CT inpatient service at Stanford Hospital. The candidate will conduct weekly outpatient clinic sessions. Teaching responsibilities for the candidate will include the teaching of residents and fellows, as well as Divisional teaching responsibilities within the Department of Medicine.

Assistant Professor - $242,000 - $291,000
Associate Professor - $291,000 - $349,000
Professor - $367,000 - $432,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
