Job Description:

Regional Distribution Center Supervisor will be required to set and execute the strategic directions of the assigned department, manage process improvement, employee utilization and exceed targets. They should have strong supervisor/management/coaching and time management skills. They will be required to be an expert within their department. Supervisors will be expected to manage day-to-day activities, whilst ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. In support of BMW Group's business objectives, this position requires regular, full-time attendance at a BMW office/facility.

While in this role you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting, warehouse activities for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, reverse and inventory control. Direct supervision of Warehouse Associates, while achieving the highest standards of Quality, Productivity and Customer Service levels to BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce retail centers. You will advise, direct and adjust the hourly labor force throughout the day in order to meet or exceed all targets, therefore being responsible the direct assignment of work/duties for Warehouse Associates. Execute corrective, preventative and disciplinary actions as necessary. Ensure there are set strategic directions of the assigned department and manage process improvement. Additionally, you will be responsible for all key performance indicators, throughout warehouse operational areas, ensuring maximum performance is secured. Provide consistent and accurate data reporting and review/analyze, in line with BMW reporting requirements.

Other responsibilities include:


  • Organize and prioritize order/workload processing, to ensure completion within set deadline standards.

  • Review and enforce process standards and work instructions with all Warehouse Associates.

  • Coach, counsel, motivate and develop subordinates at every level. Identify and communicate opportunities and strengths.

  • Observe, analyze, audit warehouse processes and propose/implement improvements as necessary.

  • Responsible to ensure all required training, staff enhancement training and relevant certifications are complete, current and properly documented for assigned department.

  • Maintain proper inventories of required warehouse supplies, such as corrugated boxes, packing supplies, and labels.

  • Ensure compliance of the BMW Value Added Production System (VPS) within assigned area.

  • Ensure a safe and clean environment is maintained at all times.

  • Complete special projects as assigned by Operations or Quality and Compliance Manager

The pay range for this role is: $50,300.00 - $83,000.00.

The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.

  • 1-3 years of logistics/distribution experience.


Preferences:

  • Direct management/supervision experience.

  • OEM distribution experience.

  • Experience managing in a unionized environment.

  • Knowledge in all operational areas within supply chain distribution.

  • Experience with distribution center operational process engineering and execution.

  • Knowledge of the general warehouse industry, best practices, and techniques.

  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
