Internship Assignment: Full-Time - Summer 2025
The intern will have responsibilities and experiences across several functions within the human resources department. These include, but are not limited to: recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, development, and HR generalist support of the organization.
Review and help update employee handbooks.
Review policies, research to ensure compliance, and suggest updates.
Work on project to transition job descriptions from a legacy system to a new system.
Work on a project to move paper-based files to an online storage system.
Participate in a process to submit and review survey data for salary planning and budgeting.
Evaluate and market price jobs.
Participate in the process of reviewing medical plan pricing.
Work on a project to begin preparing for annual benefits open enrollment.
Internship Qualifications
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2025 semester
Preferred majors: Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
