Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITEIS

• Supervise a field survey party engaged in establishing base lines and line & grade


• Make topographic surveys and supervise a field survey party in staking out


• Perform & check calculations and keeps field notes & records, compute quantities


• Review plans and specification related to surveying


• Ensure that the survey party observes departmental safety rules and regulations


• Make detailed sketches to aid drafting personnel in preparation of plans and drawings


• Attend department meetings as required

• Must be able to comprehend basic civil engineering design plan


• Possess and maintain an appropriate valid driver's license


• HS diploma or GED, preferably supplemented by vocational/college coursework related to the field, plus three years of experience using survey instruments, or any similar combination of education and experience


• Knowledge of the following:
  
  
  • Field survey methods, materials, instruments, equipment, and procedures
  
  
  • Construction methods, materials, and equipment
  
  
  • Principles of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
