Job Overview:
The Senior Buyer is responsible for leading a team of buyers to perform activities related to the purchase of material, material planning, production planning, inventory control, and shipping/receiving to other BD sites. Owns raw material flow to meet internal and external customer needs in terms of delivery, cost, and quality. Accountable for completing assigned rigors to support key KPIs, business objectives, and annual budgets.
Details:
Drives the alignment of ROH inventory levels and mix to achieve key operational goals for service level, backorder incidence/duration and inventory turnover. Responsible for inventory dollars and stock loss which impact the P&L statement.
Establishes the process to maintain SAP parameters and master data. Defines and documents recommended master data settings to ensure consistency in application and understanding throughout BDDS. Conduct training/ retraining of users as necessary. Provide initial trouble shooting when users experience problems with SAP. - lot size, lead times, day's forward supply, and safety stock.
May lead key projects or initiatives like new product introductions, conversions and product optimization.
Aligns with all GMP, regulatory and ISO guidelines, including company policies and departmental procedures.
Responsibilities may include participating in daily production activities and supervising assigned buyers, as well as developing the necessary skill competencies.

Required Qualifications:
Advanced experience in Excel.
Experience in ERP. JDE experience a plus.
Must possess leadership qualities as well as the ability to influence stakeholders.
Experience with MRP systems and Microsoft Windows. Knowledge of integrated Supply Chain systems (SAP) preferred.
Solid analytical, planning, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree. MBA/Masters a plus.
8-10+ years of Materials Management experience and a minimum of two years people management experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
