The External Events Specialist is a full-time role that will be vitally important to the continued development of Amneal's fast-growing Biosciences business. This role is critical to supporting the growing commercial needs and will work cross-functionally with various departments across Amneal. The Biosciences Corporate Events Coordinator will regularly interface with Amneal's field-based personnel and will play a major role in supporting and executing Amneal's participation in the national and regional professional conferences the company supports. They will also coordinate key internal regional and national meetings. This person will serve as a point of contact with various vendors the company contracts to support commercial initiatives. Additionally, the External Events Specialist will have various duties specific to the marketing function, including but not limited to content creation, editing, reviewing and coordinating various commercial projects and activities.
Essential Functions:
Management and execution of national and regional trade shows and sales meeting along with conferences for Biosciences team. Manage and coordinate property selection, team travel logistics, agenda creation, promotional materials, vendor management and off-site activities. Develop, manage, and maintain calendar of events and identify new opportunities for the organization.
Participate as a core team member on the trade show strategy.
Management of tasks throughout the content development and promotional review process (PRC), including but not limited to tracking approvals and production, with both internal and external stakeholders.
Coordination of field-based commercial needs specific to fulfillment of approved promotional materials demonstration kit materials and local/regional conference materials.
Support Marketing Communication functions, including creating, editing and proofreading of marketing projects with Director of Marketing as needed.
Vendor management of commercial partners, including logistics for event spaces, equipment procurement, booth properties, promotional items and rental equipment.
Identifying inefficiencies and developing alternative process to improve commercial execution. Execute ad hoc projects and assignments as directed by Biosciences Leadership.
Education:
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Marketing, Business, Journalism or Communications - Required
Experience:
3 years or more in Professional experience with a preference for healthcare background
Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write and review content a plus - Advanced
Ability to comprehend basic science concepts related to the company’s pharmaceutical products - Advanced
Excellent time-management skills, with the ability to work with limited direction - Advanced
Capable of coordinating both large and small-scale events for the company - Advanced
Reasonable understanding of general business principles and professional acumen, with a comfort level communicating and interacting with various levels of management - Advanced
Ability to work across multiple functions to support rapid organizational growth - Advanced
Must be able to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines - Advanced
